OMG! At the Smithsonian American Art Museum, there will be an exhibition featuring profound amazing work by Irving Penn. It won't be till next year but the waiting will be worth it. Irving Penn is one the best-known American photographer of the second half of the twentieth century. His career spanned almost seventy years. He was a master of both black-and-white and color photography. His pictures reveal a taste for stark simplicity whether he was photographing celebrity portraits, fashion, still-lifes, or remote places of the world. Iconic images will be highlighted, as well as previously unseen or never exhibited photographs.
The exhibition will be October 23,2015 - March 20, 2016. So that is plenty of time to plan a trip and go and see the exhibit as well as many other fantastic sites.
