This is an interesting tutorial I came across on Youtube. All you need is a light and a stand. Other than that it is all done in photoshop. This could make an interesting projectin the future. You could use it for an eerie alien abduction photo or a religious photo. There are beams of light could be used in many different subject matters. They also make many other short, useful tutorials.

Tutorial on How to Approach Strangers By Sara Moore

Hey everyone!!! This is a tutorial (kind of) that is great. The video below covers a man named Brandon Stanton who had started a photo project called Humans of New York.  He has set out to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers and plot their photos on a map.  Later on, he started to interview his subjects.  Along side their photo he puts a very intimate quote and short stories from their lives.  The video is a tutorial on great tips on how to approach a complete stranger.  I hope you enjoy the demonstration on how he approaches people on the street!

Tilt Shift Tutorial- Tutorial By Jon Bolli

I have always been interested in the images that are made to look like toy towns. After looking how it is done I found that it is called tilt shift. You can buy an expensive lens that will shift around, and will do a lot of the same things you can do with view camera, such as correcting converging lines.

I’ve been shooting in a lot of low light situations. I’ve been photographing performers on stage. Its been really hard for me to get good clear images of my subjects. They move around a lot, and aren’t ever in consistent lighting. I’ve tried to use my built in flash, but it was just giving me a foggy mess due to the smoke in my venue. 

I got an adjustable flash that hooks on to my camera. With this new attachment I can bounce the light off the celling or wall to light my subject with out obstruction my image. But it wasn't easy to figure out how to make my camera and flash work together. There are a lot of settings and switches you need to change to get it to work properly. This video helped me out a lot.

Night Sky Photos - Jess

This is a great tutorial for night photography.  Since time can be touch and go, there is a formula to help you figure out how long your exposure should be.  This will depend on if you want star trails or not.  There are also suggestions on a bit of post production editing.
