David Hilliard- Eric Powers

For this artist research I wanted to look more into one of my favorite artists, David Hilliard. He is a contemporary photographer who likes to shoot multiple photographs and later combine them with either a small line in between or nothing, to create a tableau type series that tells a narrative. His photographs normally center around around the changes in life, such as going from youth to adulthood, finding ones sexuality, and masculinity vs femininity. I thought that because a few people in our class are working with creating a series or continuation of photographs, that David Hilliard might be a useful photographer to look at.
