Cecil Beaton was a photographer most well-known for his portraits of celebrities featuring people such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor in vogue magazine. Beaton also worked as an illustrator, a diarist, and an Academy Award-winning costume and set designer. Beaton began experimenting with photography when he was 11 years old and continued to develop his style ever since. In the 1920's he became a staff photographer for Vanity Fair and Vogue Magazine. During World War 2, Beaton was enlisted into the army and became a commissioned war photographer.
